From egg to larva, then to adult these pests can reproduce rapid and require a good amount of blood to stay alive. A full grown female can lay around 5 eggs per a day.
Mattress and Box Spring
This is a favored hiding space for the insects. There are lots of crevices to hide in and the next meal is only a few inches away. Many have found that they have to throw the mattress out as there are just to many placed that the bugs can hide.

Try putting lemongrass plants around your house. This seems to help. Also, you could plant citronella plants.

How can you tell if your allergic to the bites???
If they turn red you are alergic. They should get better within a week or so. If they get really bad you might want to contact your family doctor.
OMG this is horrible, and things just seem like they keep getting worse. I was at war with bedbugs for what seemed like forever. Do bed bugs always look round and red. Can they be long and skinny and have a grayish tent to the body. Why is it that i lay in the same bed with my boyfriend and i can wake up and have all kinds of bites yet he has none
Sorry to here about this Misty. It really doesn’t sound like those are bedbugs, they are usually a redish brown color with an oval shaped body and are very small. Have you checked the mattress, box spring and headboard to see if there are any insects? On a side note, not everyone is allergic to the the bite from a bed bug. It is possible that you are allergic to the detergent, or lack there of that he uses.
The easiest way to cure this would be to get a new boyfriend, but I would start with some of the suggestion above.
Will bedbugs bite throughout the day? Do they stay on your clothes? Are they only found on the bed? Do they travel to other beds?
I am wondering if we have bed bugs. I have bites all over me and I have searched our new apartment up and down. I cant see any bugs, other than spiders, or blood or anything. I dont thing these are spider bites. The bites are large and red. Most are in sets of 3. After I stop itching them, they show blisters. Its just me that is gettong bit not my daughter. Plz if anyone has advice im open to it. Plz help these hige itch red spots are driving me nuts
2 days who I had this Ted itchy bump on my leg
I initially thought it was a mosquito bite.
But then I noticed I had more. The next days.
I have two on my thigh. One on my lower back.
Two on my upper back by my shoulder blade.
One in the middle of my back
And two on my right arm in my biceps.
They itch like crazy. They’re super wollen and red. I went to the
Doctor and she thinks it might’ve been a tick from the dogs.
But now i think it might’ve been bed bugs.
She gave me antibiotics yesterday and some pills to bring home and take.
Last night the itching stopped but I felt like I had a low fever.
My mom said it was from the heat since it was extremely hot in riverside last night.
So now its 5:23 am and I can’t sleep thinking I have these bugs on me.
I’m going crazy! The itching is back.
Oww those have been my worst night mare. But not any more! I had to get out of that place but it was totally worth it. Ow and please give more info need to do a book as a report. Wish me luck!
I’ve been up since 4 a.m. Completely paranoid and itchy from bites on my legs. I thought it was flea bites but I’m beginning to think they are bed bug bites especially from seeing all the pictures and such. I haven’t found anything but I am creeper out as it is by spiders and I hope it isn’t bedbugs but knowing my luck it probably is. My bites were old flea bites but I got worried when I noticed like 2 weeks later they went from scars to iffy and red welts…as though I got re-bit in the sa.e exact spots! Earlier today they were really swollen and it looked lime 3 bites all close together…now it looks like a very large swollen bite due to itching it. I’m very scared. I don’t travel and I don’t understand how I could’ve gotten these bedbugs if they are bedbugs, in my home…
So I had no choose stay at a friend place,,, soonest I was out for 10 min I got up with bites all over my body . This shit sucks never stay here again :/
This is like a never ending nightmare. I got no help from my landlord and live in a 110 year old house. It is virtually impossible to fix all the hols and cracks that have formed over all those years. He denies they exist, but I have seen them. I stopped sleeping all together and thought I was losing my mind. Finally had to abandon my apartment and most of my belongings. Spent thousands on hotels just to get a night’s sleep. Now I live in a place that has exterminators come in twice a month but I still have dreams about them and am being treated for PTSD. Anyone I tell thinks I am just being hysterical.
Hello my boyfrend start working for exterminator company just 3weeks ago. So what happened? I woke- up morning and I see fanny animal like bed bug on the shit it was walking and jumping .I try to grab it betwin my fingers and I do realize I am dealing with nesty insect . They did not bite me yet. But I both spray and try kill it. After just 3 weeks working in this company he probably broth bed bugs in my apart
ment and he gets already paranoia from bugs because he kills them every day in different houses. I try to get rid of them and don’t tell him that because he will feel bed and I never met see this bugs before. Thanks god I found very soon so I am able to kill them thru spray and washing laundry before real disaster apeers .
