It almost seems like there’s nothing you can do to keep these little bloodsuckers from coming home with you.
Now you can’t even enjoy a good nights sleep in a decent hotel without worrying about whether or not you’re going to get eaten alive or not.
I am so freaked out. I woke up with raised bumps all over my legs and arm, some flat, some round. They went away by twelve thirty, but what if it was bed bugs? I am absolutely terrified to sleep now. It’s 2:30 AM and I plan to stay up all night because no way am I going back in that bed… I am scared to even be in this room… It is a fricking nightmare, a sleepless nightmare.
I do believe that these bedbugs, even if there is a huge infestation… are a minimal problem, and Blair sleep on the couch genius… its not like these things are out to get you… you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time..
If you know the hotels you’re staying at, then I would go to Tripadvisor.com. Even if you don’t know your hotels names I would still check it out since I believe they have travel guides for several destinations. Most people will include other helpful hints besides just the hotel rating in their reviews such as places to go, not to go, and things to watch out for. I use this website whenever I travel anywhere. Some people in the reviews will even include pictures or their email address in case you have any questions about the destination.

I am at a hotel and been here a week and just discovered a bed bug. How do I make sure I don’t bring them home?
I would make sure that you seal you clothing up in bags before you leave. When you get home, DO NOT bring your suitcase inside. Also you may want to change into clean clothes in your garage before entering.
The best way to treat your clothing is through heat, make sure to wash and dry your clothes with HEAT. Your suitcases and shoes are a bit harder to do, but heat will work. There are some directions on the web for a DIY heat treatment system using a garbage can and some Christmas lights. I don’t have them on the site, so do a Google search for the direction.
At a minimum do a inspection of all your items before you enter your home. GOOD LUCK!
